According to www.Black-Sabbath.com, the special edition box version of HEAVEN AND HELL's upcoming Live At Radio City Music Hall will now be released in North American on September 25th. The limited set is available exclusively via Rhino.com and is being released in a divinely deluxe three-disc edition - 2CD/DVD - for $66.66. Bonus features of this special, collectible set are a tour program, glossy photos of the band and Heaven And Hell memorabilia including a patch, concert ticket and backstage laminate.

VH1 Classic To Feature Material From HEAVEN AND HELL's Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD Tonight

VH1 Classic in the US is going to be showing footage from HEAVEN AND HELL's forthcoming new Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD (release date August 2 DVD release. Their series Classic In Concert will premiere footage from the RCMH DVD tonight (August 24th) at 9PM EST tonight. It will run again several other times over the weekend, so check your local listings for repeat times, or check their website's TV schedule here.

HEAVEN AND HELL - Special Concert Prize Package To Be Given Away At Rock Hall Screening In Cleveland




Rhino Records and HEAVEN AND HELL will be giving away a special concert prize package to a lucky winner at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame + Museum's screening of the new Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD on August 29 in Cleveland, Ohio. The screening takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is sponsored by the Rock Hall, WJCU, WCSB, WRUW and Free Times Magazine. Admission is free. The grand prize includes two tickets to see Heaven And Hell (with ALICE COOPER and QUEENSRŸCHE) on September 19 at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center near Buffalo, NY, backstage passes to meet the band, dinner with the crew and copies of the new DVD, CD and tour program. Other prizes to be given out at the screening include the special-edition box set version of Live From Radio City Music Hall (limited and available exclusively on line from Rhino.com on September 25) and a Radio City Music Hall special edition t-shirt made exclusively for the New York City concert (less than 300 were produced making this the rarest of Heaven And Hell shirts!).

The event will be MC'd by Chris Emig (pictured), lead singer for Cleveland band CELLBOUND, who attended the Radio City concert and makes an appearance on the DVD. Special guest speaker proceeding the screening will be the DVD's producer Barry Ehrmann. The DVD will be shown in its entirety in the Rock Hall's fourth floor theater. Free Heaven And Hell official band merchandise - including tour shirts (Shirt #1, Shirt #2, Shirt #3), 18-page full color tour program with rare Black Sabbath photos, limited-edition 24"x 36" posters, and more - will be passed out at the end of the showing (while supplies last - limit 1 item per person). The Rock Hall encourages fans to arrive early as response has been very strong. Wrist bands will be passed out beginning at 5 p.m. on the day of the event.

In other news, The Exchange, an independent record store chain with 21 stores in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh regions, will be offering a special sale price to fans for the new Heaven And Hell release in support of the Rhino Records screening. The DVD will be on sale for the incredibly low price of $6.66 ($19.99 suggested list price) and the double CD set for only $9.99 ($19.98 suggested list price). The promotion begins Tuesday, August 28 at 10 a.m. and runs through Sunday, September 2 and is good at all Exchange locations. There is a limit of two DVDs and two CDs per customer. A similar promotion for Black Sabbath's "The Dio Years" CD earlier this year resulted in record sales numbers for the indie chain.

Heaven And Hell's Live From Radio City Music Hall is the 2007 reunion of the DIO-era Black Sabbath lineup of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice captured on DVD at the band's sold out performance on March 30, 2007 in New York City. The DVD will include the entire show shot in breathtaking HD, as well as a tour documentary and other bonus footage.

HEAVEN AND HELL Drummer Vinny Appice Discusses New Live CD/DVD

"August 28th (marked) the release of the new HEAVEN AND HELL DVD and CD, Heaven And Hell: Live From Radio City Music Hall, on Rhino Records. Also today (August 29th), Heaven And Hell hold a special in-store appearance at 6 PM at Hot Topic on Hollywood Blvd, in Hollywood, CA in honor of the release of the first DVD and CD in fifteen years from the band.

Heaven And Hell will tour Mexico, August 29 - September 1st. On September 5th, in Binghamton, NY at the Broome County Arena, Heaven And Hell will kick off a World Tour with ALICE COOPER and QUEENSRŸCHE."

Deb Rao spoke to Heaven And Hell drummer Vinny Appice prior to the in-store signing and discussed the unveiling of Heaven And Hell: Live From Radio City Music Hall. The following is an excerpt from Deb's chat with Vinny:

Q: Now, this is the first concert of the band in fifteen years. How exciting was it to be part of this musical history?

A: "Yes, this is the first anything in fifteen years. First tour, first DVD, first CD. So it is pretty exciting. Tonight, we are doing an in-store in Hollywood, at Hot Topic signing the DVD for 3 hours, so that should be crazy."

Q: Now, I got to see the New York concert last night on VH1. They were playing Live From Radio City Music Hall. It looks like it came out really well. Tell me a little bit about the production of the DVD. Was it hard to shoot all o fthe different angles on this tour because it was so theatrical? Also, I heard a lot about the issues regarding the New York City Union.

A: "At Radio City there was a lot of confusion because, there was a lot of stuff going on. Because first of all, it is New York. You got a lot of friends coming down, and people in the business and you are recording a DVD, so it was really crazy. We had problems doing a soundcheck because everything ran late. Then, when we did a soundcheck, we had to stop. We didn't even play one song because the Union Break came up. In New York, the Union Break is like God. So, we had to stop. (Laughter) So it was a little nerve racking. But, we can only do half a song, and hopefully that was OK for everybody who was doing a little recording and camera work. We would have liked to have done more. If we could. So, it was a lot of nerves rattling here and there. But, we thought it came out really, really good. When, we sort of finished the product with all of the editing, it looks fanstastic."

During the conversation, some information is revealed about what Ronnie, Tony, Geezer and Vinnie have planned when the Heaven And Hell tour finally ends.

Ma femme m'avait offert le MAGNIFIQUE coffret dvd+cd.Au depart,la sortie etait prevu le jour de mon annif(27aout),mais il a fallut attendre une semaine de plus.Le seul regret que j'ai,c'est le mix du public(vous me direz,le public on s'en fou un peu ).On le dirait desfois abscent,carrement.DIO est majistral en maitre de ceremonie.GEEZER,en retrait comme a son habitude,concentré sur sa basse n'en est pas moins l'ossature du groupe avec VINNIE qui en fait un peu trop quelques fois.TONY,penché sur sa SG nous assainne de ces riffs endiablé,plombé dont il a le secret.
En plus sur le dvd,pour une fois,meme les bonus sont interressants.
